>>Reaching Out to Others
Reaching Out to Others (in Church lingo - "Missions")
In John 6:1-14 Jesus takes five loaves of bread and two fish and feeds about five thousand people.  Jesus showed his followers how something small, when given in love and compassion, can turn into a huge offering.  At College Hill we take that lesson seriously and connect our hearts and hands as we reach out to others in service and love.

Our 2010 Mission Projects are:

  • Dining for Friends with Friends
    Red Bird Mission  Easter Offering
  • Wichita East District Mission Festival  July 31, 9am-4pm here at College Hill United Methodist Church.  Over 25 missions, outreach centers and institutions will have booths sharing about what they do and how to get involved.  Also include Lunch (free will offering), and bake sale.  Bring diapers for Open Door.  For more information contact Chuck Chipman at chuckchipmant@webtv.net
  • Adult Mission Trip to Cookson Hills, Oklahoma  Scheduled for October 7-10.  Ten men and ten women make repairs and work in the clothing store.  For more information contact Chuck Chipman at chuckchipmant@webtv.net
  • Alternative Gifts Market   The market is a group effort of churches of all faiths, nationwide, to benefit people in Third World countries as well as organizations in our local area.  Several groups from within College Hill sponsor organizations and provide tables at the local Alternative Gifts market each November.  www.altgifts.org.  For more information contact Raye Street,
